Hello, and welcome to Bouquet of Blessings! I’m so glad you stopped by for a visit!
My name is Natalie. I am a follower of Jesus Christ and wife to Stephen. We’ve been married 17 years and have three children and two lively boxer dogs. My husband is the pastor of our local church and I am excited to be the helper God designed for him! We’ve been at our church for over 10 years now. Between my roles as wife, mother, homeschool teacher, and “pastor’s wife”, I stay pretty busy!
It is actually partially because of this full life that I decided to start this blog. Because my God-given responsibilities of being a wife and mother come first, I have limited amounts of time to spend with the ladies in our church — and their time is limited for many of the same reasons. We had a difficult time trying to figure out how to find the time to speak truth into each other’s lives. We are spread out, sometimes a 30-45 minute drive (one way) from one another. Some work, some are in school, some are teaching their own kids. Family time is at a premium. When do we find time to spur one another on to love and good deeds?
After much prayer and wise counsel, my husband and I decided that I ought to start a blog. This is a way that I can encourage and be encouraged by the women in my church. But not just my church. Women in my family. Women from my previous church. Women who are in a military family who fellowshipped in our church for a season and have moved on to the next base or other adventure. There are many women I know and love and this is a way for me to share with them on a regular basis.
My desire is for this community of women to be a blessing to the Lord and to those around us. This blog is to encourage us to that end, that each one of us would be a Bouquet of Blessing!
